The La Sportiva TX Guide is a versatile approach shoe built for mountain approaches, via-ferratas, scrambling, and technical hiking. Its abrasion-resistant mesh upper, reinforced internally with microfiber and externally with TPU plus a PU-Tech Lite rand, delivers durability and protection from rocks and rough terrain while staying lightweight and breathable.
Inside, a breathable mesh lining and Ortholite insole provide comfort and cushioning, making TX Guide suitable not only for short approaches but also for longer hikes and mixed terrain. The dual-density EVA + TPU midsole gives cushioning and stability, helping to absorb impacts on rocky and uneven surfaces.
The outsole is made by Vibram using a dual-compound of MegaGrip and IdroGrip, with a dedicated climbing zone at the forefoot and Impact Brake System lugs at the heel. This setup gives outstanding grip on wet rock, mixed terrain, mud or gravel — providing secure footing on tough approaches or descents. Climbing-style lacing reaching near the toe allows for precise fit and excellent control over foot placement, while protective rand and toe/rand reinforcements guard against bumps and abrasion.
